April 25th, 2013When the mum of these beautiful children emailed me telling me her ideas for a family photo shoot, I was beyond excited. The fact that she told me she had been looking for a photographer for 3 years who she felt could match her vision, and that that photographer was me, left me speechless (which doesn’t happen very often), and oh so flattered.
The mum of these stunners is so creative, and put so much thought into everything from their outfits to the hair to the props. And it was worth it. This has to be possibly my favourite shoot ever. Thanks so much for trusting me with your vision P. x

Melbourne Commercial Photographer | Fratin Brothers Winery
April 25th, 2013I had the pleasure of doing some promotional shots for Fratin Brothers Vineyard in Ararat. Not only are the owners, Mick and Dean, lovely people, they make seriously good wine. If you are ever in the area, you should drop by and sample some of their delicious Shiraz (my personal favourite!).

April 11th, 2013Welcome to the April edition of my 11 on the 11th, where I turn my Melbourne family photographer lens on my own family. This is a blog circle I am involved in with a group of uber talented photographers. The only rules are we must share 11 photos, and one must be a self portrait. So, as in my January and February edition, which you can see here and here I am treating this as my month in review. This edition is mainly a “what we did on Easter break” summary. A lot of messing about, a lot of visiting the beach, and a trip to the zoo. 11 on the 11th, February | Melbourne Family Photographer
February 12th, 2013Welcome to the February edition of my 11 on the 11th, where I turn my Melbourne family photographer lens on my own family. This is a blog circle I am involved in with a group of uber talented photographers. The only rules are we must share 11 photos, and one must be a self portrait. So, as in my January edition, which you can see here, I am treating this as my month in review. As you can see, we still are very much in the middle of summer here, so for my kids, clothes seem to be optional! We had a furry visitor with us this month. We dogsat my sisters dog, and the kids LOVED it. Needless to say the list for santa has been written already, and there is only one word on it…..we’ll see. 11 on the 11th | Melbourne Family Photographer
January 12th, 2013Melbourne Family Photographer. So, I’m not entirely sure how, but somehow……some….how….I have agreed to be a part of a blog circle. However, this isn’t any old blog circle. The other photographers joining in on this 12 month project ooze talent and creativity from every pore. And even though I feel more than slightly intimidated by all of this, I am excited to use it as a motivator to push me creatively.
The gist is we post 11 pictures on the 11th of every month (hence the title – clever!), with the eleventh image being a self portrait. Other than those guidelines, it is open to interpretation.
SO for me, I am using this as a reason to take more photos of my children. This will be almost like our month in review, while trying to push myself creatively. As for the self portrait…I cant say that aspect excited me an awful lot. HOWEVER. I am coming around to the idea. I figure that one day, not only will I be grateful I have these photos, but so will my children. I am always behind the lens. Need to get in front just a little more.

December 2nd, 2012Melbourne Family Photographer. This gorgeous family were so much fun to photograph. The kids were such a happy, funny, easygoing pair who completely and utterly adore their mummy and daddy, and the feeling is so very mutual. I think you can see this is plain in the photos.
I have known Claire for as long as I can remember as she went to school with my little sister, and I also had the pleasure of working with her as a nurse what feels like many moons ago (we did A LOT of laughing that shift. It’s ok, patients got looked after, I promise)
I love how their easygoing, funloving nature as a family shines through the photos.
